Mōtung:Sƿissland
(Edlǣded of Mōtung:Swisslande)
Which is correct? Swisslande or Switzerland? Swisslande is referenced on the front-page, Switzerland has an article written about it. BoLingua 03:31, 30 Hrēþmōnaþ 2006 (UTC)
- Not sure. I would have preferred "Switzerland". (In MnE, "Swiss" is a recent usage. The people of that land used to be called "Switzers", hence our name "Switzerland". "Switzer", like "Schweiz", comes from the canton of Schwyz.)
- In either case the "Confederation" in the original German is an "Eidgenossenschaft", or "Āþbēorscipe" on Englisce.
