Wyrt, plante

adiht

I've thought about wyrt vs plante lots...

Basically: plante always has meaning "plant" or close. Wyrt can mean plant, or an edible plant (a herb), or a root. Perhaps an article should be made with "wyrt" being used to mean "herb", since broad "plant" meaning is already covered, and "root" can be covered by the more specific "wyrttruma".    Ƿes hāl!     23:14, 22 Þrimilcemōnaþ 2013 (UTC)

I think "wyrtmete" should be used for "vegetable".    Ƿes hāl!     22:46, 27 Þrimilcemōnaþ 2013 (UTC)
