::Whether or not it was used in OE, it has not been documented. It is a logical deduction that since it appears to have been already in use by ME, it was probably introduced at some earlier stage; but since that is not attested, such a word has reconstructed or modern borrowing status, as opposed to various sufficient words which do not have such status.
