Rules
For an article to be considered as part of the Wikipedia Asian Month, it must adhere to the following rules:
- The new article must be created by you between 0:00 UTC on November 1, 2015 and 23:59 UTC on November 30, 2015.
- The new article must have a minimum size of at least 3,500 bytes and a length of around 300 words (the word count excludes templates, infoboxes, references, etc.)
- You can also expand an existing article that is less than 4000 bytes. You need to expand this article by at least 2000 bytes and roughly 300 words, (the word count excludes templates, infoboxes, references, etc.) and the expanded article needs to have at least 4000 bytes. Only edits made during the event will be counted.
- The article must fulfill the notability criteria.
- The article must have decent references. Any doubtful or controversial statements in the article should be verifiable by the citation(s) listed in that article.
- The article must not be purely machine translated and should be written in a decent language style.
- There should be no issues (no tags) within the article, and should be free of copyright violations, close paraphrasing and plagiarism.
- The article must not be a list or table. However, articles subsequently promoted as a featured list shall be considered under the project.
- The article must have a direct relation (cultural, geographical, political, etc.) to any Asian country, region or territory.
Note that at the end of the project, the Wikipedia Asian Month jury for the English Wikipedia will determine whether an article qualifies for inclusion or not under these criteria.
