There are several alternate names, such as "King George Island," "Isla de Amat," etc for this island. Would using one of them be helpful, or perhaps renaming to "Tahītig" would be a bit closer. --James (mōtung) 13:32, 1 Wēodmōnaþ 2016 (UTC)
- Island names frequently end īeg, for obvious reasons. Here we have a native name which anticipates this by ending with an -īg / -īeg sound in the first place. Hogweard
