Alligator
adihtIc andwendede "alligator" on "ā-lag-etere" (literally "out-of-lake/sea-eater"). Willcume ic þec on míne brúcendsídan! 03:52, 3 Þrimilcemōnaþ 2010 (UTC)
- Eac "gargeal" on "gārig-ela" (literally "spiky/pointy causers of pain/trouble"). Willcume ic þec on míne brúcendsídan! 04:25, 3 Þrimilcemōnaþ 2010 (UTC)
- Not bad. I had thought of æclaca-āðexe, monster lizard, unless that is too much like a dinosaur. Or ægægleca.
- If we but knew the word for "crocodile" we could use that as the two, really are the same thing. Hogweard 19:32, 3 Þrimilcemōnaþ 2010 (UTC)
